MASTER DEGREE IN GENETIC SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGIES
Coordinator: prof. Gennaro Marino (former Dean of the School of Biotechnology of Università di Napoli "Federico II"; member of Accademia dei Lincei).
Biogem acquired the qualification of Training Organization pursuant to Decree n.172 of 04/11/2011 of the Campania Region Employment and Education Agency.
Master Degree Course in Genetic Sciences and Technologies (active from the 2006/2007 academic year to the 2018/2019 academic year) in agreement with the Universities of Bari "Aldo Moro", of Foggia, of Naples "Federico II" and of Sannio. The course, with limited number of places, took place in a residential setting with curricular teaching and additional experimental activities, master's lectures and with the participation of students in Biogem's cultural and scientific activities. Over the course of 12 years, 140 students graduated, all within the duration of the course of study, with research theses almost always evaluated with full marks and honors. Many of these students were then able to access prestigious doctoral schools in Italy and abroad. The University of Sannio, formerly the administrative headquarters of the aforementioned course of studies, in 2018 activated the Master Degree Course in Genetic and Molecular Biotechnology in agreement with the University of Naples Federico II and with Biogem that offers its laboratories for some practical activities and experiments for degree theses. The establishment of a master's degree course in "Computational and Quantitative Biology" with the participation of universities of Campania and high schools is in progress.
